This is not, as you might anticipate, the Statue of Liberty who graces the harbour in New York, but rather a photo of the smaller scale version who rests along the river Seine in Paris, France. Our little adventurer bravely navigates the excellent fortress at Commonwealth Park. Shot from a cruise on the Hudson River, this statue - a gift from France - welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and is a national icon. Taken at my parent's house at Christmas time a few years back with a brand new macro lens. The timing was impeccable. Taken in 2009, this black and white exposure captures the majestic tower bridge opening with the iconic white tower of the Tower of London to the left.
